Hey everyone,

Has anyone seen, or have pictures of a velocity stack with a big air filter on top? I Have an idea in my head of using a velocity stack and a 14" cotton filter and making the housing out of clear or tinted plastic.

I'm just curious is anyone has seen a setup with big filter and what it looks like before I actually start building it.

Thanks

My dad had one years ago but it didnt have a tall filter, it was basically a fine mesh screen on the top. No idea who made it, it sure looked cool though (when I was say 7yrs old). It was on his drag car. I dont remember if there was a filter element under the screen or not

So where do you get the conical shaped plexiglass?
Made it, I had a piece of 5" plexi glass tube. Stuck it in the oven at 305 along with a ceramic pot. Then used a carburetor stub stack to keep the 5" base and bent it over the hot ceramic pot. I used a piece of red window tint over the top of the lid.

It basically makes the clear plastic glow red. I'm not sure what size filter to go with. The taller one looks a little over the top and I'm kinda leaning that way. Let me know what you think.
