57Corvette You might be right Jony ....hard to say. This poster had a problem with someone taking a photo and pressing a few buttons in Photoshop and calling it artwork. He also mentioned that maybe the "artist" didn't even take the original photo. He has posted this on three occasions that I know of so it must be a real problem for him.

My feeling is if you don't like it, just move on to the next image ....plain and simple. No need to bad-mouth someone's work because it's not what you like.

lincoln highway jony History repeats it self. !50 years ago a group off artist went forth on to the Battle Fields of the eastern U.S> to report to the people about the Civil War. These men risked their lives to be the eyes and ears for the people. They were the media of the day.The news papers of the day printed weekly. The cost and process to put pictures to print was long and costly. Although Photography was around it was only a novelty. By the 1880"s the process was perfected to put photography into news papers. With in a few years The Artist part of corresponding was over.
Many of the artist disliked the decision to pick the wooden box over them. Something to think about.... Is this different or ? I personally think it fits the Picture.

Lincoln Highway Johnny.

Thanks Ken, I appreciate the kind comments ........I was hoping more people would have said something regarding Photoshop not being such an evil thing on the HAMB.....I wrote a pretty long letter and may still post it if the subject comes up again. I really would like to keep posting there as I got some business from my posts and I think my website lost some rankings since I stopped posting.

We'll see what happens in the future.....for now, I still have this forum.

In the mean time, I look forward to seeing everyones entry this month.

Job~Rated Thankyou for your moral support, brickyard. I have no intention of stopping posting, or not 'signing' my stuff. I'll carry on until I hear to the contrary from Ryan, the forum admin.

If anything, the frustrated Mr Swanson (who has already demonstrated his immaturity on numerous occasions) is in for more of the same & I hope to give him some sleepless nights over it into the bargain.

OK, now I know who you are. I've seen your work on HAMB before, and have viewed your website, and really admire your talent and technical know-how in your body of work. In spite of any jabs some individuals make take, I'm hoping that both you, Tom, and Bob, will continue to post your works on the HAMB, so that others can view and enjoy it.

I'd been ribbed by some guy on the HAMB about what actually constitutes art - basically, he tore into me for altering photos & calling it art. Bob sent me a message explaining that the same guy was the reason Bob hasn't posted on their forum in a while.
I gotcha now. Yeah, I know what you're saying about that tight little group on the HAMB. Just this last Friday show there was controversy about someone who was accused of passing off a photoshopped photo as original art, followed by some negative comments. I believe the accusations were unfounded. I've posted many times on the Friday art show, and unless you're part of the clicke, then your work goes generally unnoticed, with hardly a comment. I'm not nearly as talented as most of those contributors, but a pat on the back for doing an admirable job is always appreciated.

E.Furgal the HAMB... great site for info... but man are the members a snobie bunch .
some guy had an older car my dad helped build in dorchester.. and when my dad replied on how it was done. they ganged up on him and told him he didn't know s_it about how that car was built and was talking out his pie hole..
untill of cource I scanned the 3x4" photos of the build , then the thread was locked.. they are quite a bunch of.. well... you fill in the blanks..
