No offence LATech ... but you're wasting your breath and sentiment on this character.
Check his (very short) posting history.
He seems to enjoy starting arguments and being a wiseacre.

Dont worry about it.
Also, you dont need to prove anything here, especially in one day.
People will recognize whether or not you have talent and skill in time.
For now just lighten up and follow the guidelines.
In the future dont respond to a post if you dont agree with it, or suggest to the member that your thoughts are different.
Its nice to be important....but its important to be nice.

If you look at the number of members here that were willing to help you, you will notice that they have a combined amount of experience of at least 1-200 years, all added together.
Your 18, probably have some talent, but dont know it all.
The first response was by a tech who was pretty much on top of your issue with the truck .
No one is trying to make you look stupid here. Your doing a good job on your own however.
You need to lighten up. If not, I wont have much of a choice but to dump this thread, as it has sniping and bickering in almost every post. That doesnt give much value for anyone who comes in to gain any knowledge.
If your really smart, you will chill out, make some friends, fix a few things.

1 This forum is for people who share a love of cars and the automobile hobby in general.
2 While this is a great place to get advise, no one here claims to have all the answers or be able to accurately diagnose, with certainty, a problem with a vehicle miles away.
3 You have shown total disregard for the people who have tried to help you instead of appreciating the attempt to help whether you agreed with the advise or not.
If you can not come onto the forum with a good and positive attitude it would be best if you looked elsewhere for your advise.
I realize if you feel Spinn is a senile bat at age 41, you must really think I am over the hill but I would hope would grow up and mature before you get out in the world and try to make a living. Behaving like an immature child does not help you nor the members of this forum.

What had failed in the distributor, what was the curve doing before replacement, what did you set the timing curve up as with the replacement? This is pretty sketchy and nobody should give addvice to replace something with out diagnostics to support their recommendation.
Nobody here got any information to determine the whole distributor needed replacement. Very few reasons to do so, and age alone has nothing to do with it. Why not replace the whole truck, you have no knowledge of how to fix something.
If you cant help yourself, maybe find an adult to help you get your mind straight.
With your attitude you will be a virgin for a long time.

My suggestion to you is to forget all these know-nothing old timers and go into business for yourself diagnosing problems from hundreds or thousands of miles away. It's quite obvious you need no one here. So, why ask?

|BraveLil305||What was wrong with with the distributor? It was older than me. You senile old bat.|
