AutoGear Hope you like Eaton Fuller LOL or get in with the modern diesel crowd and see if you can adapt an automatic from a 3500 high perf diesel. There are guys out there making 1,000ft pounds with street trucks. How well their transmissions hold up to constant abuse at that level, is way over my head though

jalopy45 I think you'll find that bellhousings that'll fit that engine are all large truck and and pretty well all diesel unless you go to something out of the 50's or 60's that had large gas engines like a Continental or International. that engine weighs over 700 lbs and has around 900 ft/lb's of torque so a smaller tranny will not cut it,
