Bonneville462 The 68-72 were always my favorites... I own this 69, pretty sure it's a factory SS396 but can't prove it. It has a stock low compression 454, th-400 2.87... I love the performance and on 87 octane..

68 - 72 in general are all amazing although it's hard to argue with the look of a 59, especially Bryan's

But I also have a soft spot for the 67 and mine was truly amazing, I sold it some months back and it's in Germany now but man was it Bad *****

Ok maybe they didnt come with Ferrari Paint a ZZ572's and a Tremec TKO,
but they should have because having 620/650 is a must in a street car, LOL ......

Nice El Camino our local dealer built one in 66 made it into an SS clone,,then again in 67 he did a red 67 like this,,Then in 68 Chevrolet came out with a Factory option SS ElCamino saved him a lot of trouble,,,his son still has the 66 with a set of mud tires on back uses it to go feed the cows

Whoops on me, you're right.

I must have been picturing the '65 Mercury Comet when I typed that.

BuzzLOL Yeah, '67 Ranchero/Fairlane copied the stacked headlights of the '65 GTO...

Too bad Pontiac didn't get their own variation of an El Camino... picture it as a '65 GTO pickup... would have been a hot seller...

There's a nice one running around town that a lot like that except his is blue and has the SS hood

Dragonoake I've always wanted a '69 (a mild custom '59 with a 409 would be a close second), but any I can find are either super-expensive or junk...
Some of them were both

Favorite El Camino's

Well I loved my 65, 350 / 4 speed. The 66 I had didn't stay around very long, got traded for some concrete work and a carport. The 67 was housed in the carport, 327 / 3 on the tree. My 83 Cabellero had a spot in the garage. ( until it was stolen from my wifes workplace. I may get another....
