|barberboys||Well I would like to use air but my father would rather go with coilovers. He is nervous of the truck sitting uneven BC if we do go with bags we probably will run it for a year or 2 with no compressor or tank ect and I think he is nervous since all his rides in the past have been coils ... he awe also want to be able to beat on the truck on back roads without worrying about the fear of something failing or rolling a bag out of its pocket|

I liked my 47 Chevy truck on bags. Rode well, infinite adjustment and for some reason people really liked to see it settling down when dumping air at a show.
My next truck project is a 1948 Suburban on airbags so apparently I like them well enough.
Which is better really depends on what you want you truck to do, and on who you ask. I know people who would debate either side of the subject.
Properly done they are reliable. Lot's of semi trucks on the road with them.

new suspension questions for 1940 chevy pickup
We have decided to get the mustang 2 ifs from speedway and are getting the kit with tube up Nd low a arms, power rack and are undecided to go with coilovers or air bags....
What are the pros and cons on coilovers vs airbags...
Can I run airbags without compressor and tank and just fill through a fitting...
Are the airbags reliable and can they handle hard turning...
How do they perform compared to coilovers
