I have a 30 Ford truck witch I have a 350 and t5 setting in and unfortunately my transmission is hitting on the bottom of the cab I need like a half a inch I have welded 2.5 blocks on my crossmember already and stuck a pile of washers under each side trying to make it work so any help and all help did appreciated
The simplest approach in the long run may be to raise the hump in the cab. You lowered the crossmember which didn't give you enough - you can lower the motor mounts which may give you clearance on the floor, but interfere with steering. Raising the cab starts out easy, but will require you also raise the fenders, hood, grille shell. If it's just 1/2" and just a few small spots, that big hammer idea might be the winner. If not, you might be able to cut the hump and add a strip of sheetmetal to each side to raise it what you need.
