large air fittings
I got some very large quick change fittings from the front suspension sub assembly fixture when Ford shut down the old Mustang Factory, I think the original cost was over $ 1oo each, and they had an automatic lubrication feature.. the pieces are in a box, I have never used them. Jack hammer hose fittings are a lot cheaper, you just have to install a ball valve in line when you plumb it

|69 widetrack||3/4" air disconnects should be available, check out extreme high pressure washer dealers or large sandblasting suppliers, I'm sure they would have them.|

Tire machine modification. Maybe.
I have an old Coats 20 20 center post tire machine. Nothing wrong with the machine - it works great; as a matter of fact, its a beast of a machine that would break the bead on the most stubborn tire and peel the hardest tire off any rim.
Here's my situation: the machine *should* have a 5 gallon surge tank on the side of it. The previous owner discarded it. Its only purpose is to aid in seating the bead when inflating a tire. Its a simpe mechanism. Theres a foot pedal (for the inflating proces) that controls 2 valves. One small 3/8 valve for the air chuck, and a bigger 3/4 vavle that delivers a blast of air through a pipe with holes in the shape of a ring, that sits under the tire as the wheel/tire assy. is chucked in the machine. Operator presses pedal all the way down, the ring shoots air into the bottom bead area of the tire to help seal, as the tire is being inflated.
My question: Getting a 5 gal. storage tank - no prob. any old compresor tank would do. However - instead of having a permanently fixed tank on the side of the machine, id like to make the surge tank removable (for tire emergencies, using a reserve of air where no compressor is available, etc). The line between the surge tank and the machine is 3/4 ID (for a high volume of air). I know there are quick disconects for 3/8 and 1/2 air lines, but is there such a thing as a 3/4 air line quick disconect? Anything simmilar? Anthing else i could use? Any other ideeas?
