Here is my 0.060 over 218 in my 48 Plymouth Club Coupe.
Offenhauser intake, Carter/Webbers, repop Fenton cast iron headers.
Have a 0.030 over 59 model 230 on the engine stand now that will be going in this winter with the induction and headers off the 218 plus a my new finned aluminum head.
The stock 218 was rated at 95HP from the factory while the 230 was rated at 135HP so looking for a bit of a bump in performance.
just curious if you can hook me up with some engine specs and what size carbs are you running jets and ramps etc. im trying to research a good tune for this 355 hella alum heads big valves and i believe the carbs are 770cfm vacuum secondary
This is the 2nd to last engine, 355 sbc 384.7 hp @ 6100, 391.2 lb/ft @ 4300. Engine that is now in it is a 383 stroker built for low rpm torque, 320 hp @ 4050 and 516 lb/ft @ 2800.
By the way John, the motor, firewall, frame, suspension all that stuff is painted nice, it is just covered in dust. A quick power wash would make all the difference in the world. But a few things need to be changed like the air cleaner, I think I'm going to put the stock one back on.
I just don't remember this in the past, but I have never had one sitting around like this. The wife just registered and insured it yesterday so as soon as I get the brake parts in (and it stops raining" I'll be driving it regularly.
thanks guys!
Brian
