RWENUTS If you're gonna use a S10 4x4 be aware that a S10 ZR2 rear is even wider at 62 inches.

jayseasBlue56 the 4x4 r/e will work great, if your not racing it hard.It's a good unit disc brakes different gear's been used plenty of times, manny at the wrecd for cheap.

big gear head 4X4 rear end is 4 inches wider. The first gen Camaro rear end is 60 inches, and the FOX body Mustang 8.8 is 59 1/2 inches. Most of the S10 rear ends are the weak 7.5 10 bolt. A '72 or later Nova or other X body 8.5 is also 60 inches and would be a much better choice.

S-10 4x4 rear end swap into 57 chevy wagon

I'm wanting to change the rear end in my 57 chevy wagon to an s10 4x4 rear. All help in doing is appreciated. I bought 2w/d s10 rear end to find that it would to narrower. So I need info on the 4x4 rear.
