Ok so this is the engine in my daily driver (the rat chaser) May look like hell, so does the rest of the truck, but it runs very strong. the PO had it mildly done over so he could get a bit more oomph out of the heavy truck it is in.
Maybe we should start a new thread for the "ugliest engine" kind of on the order of the "ugliest dog" theme,winner gets a case of Gunk Engine Brite. :mwink:

Rebuilt the carb, sandblasted and coated headers, reinstalled intake, took out condenser and added delete panel, repainted inner fenders. This is before I installed the upper rado hose.

I'm right in the middle of swapping engines. As much as I've gotten a kick out of 516 lb/ft at just 2800 rpm in a stick shift 1790 lb ride, I do miss the zing of good hp production on the high end.
Pontiac 400. Still some pully and hose dress up to do. Block needs repainted but this is pretty much how I got the car a year ago. I guess if I ever blow it up then I'll find out what's inside.
