Dave57210 Had an "interesting" day.

A lady who used to work for me had to come into town to see a surgeon-specialist about some brain surgery. Her "hubby" had gone all Kurt Busch on her a couple of years ago, and now she has a lot of bone chips in her face and (thanks to his tender ministrations) also has some brain damage, is getting humongous headaches, now diagnosed as an incipient aneurism.

She'll be staying with us for a few while surgery is scheduled and etc.

tech69 did a little mud work and blocking and got home and my 3" lake county pads were at my door. Can't wait to try them out. I got a yellow one, a couple orange ones, a couple black ones, and a blue one.

I love red too. I love how it looks after a sanding and buffing. Not really enough flat surfaces on a bike to get that feel but the fenders were fun to buff and check out afterwards. If I had a hot rod I'd want Ford's RR, which is a bright red metallic, unlike all the other darker burgundy looking metallic reds out there. It's actually red-red with flake. It's such a nice color.

MARTINSR I got out to the garage to make a pattern for the speakers I am putting in the package tray of the Rambler. I made the pattern and cut the hole for one of them, that was all I had in me tonight.

mud.man.rj Love the little red bike, such detail all thru it, beautiful build, if it was mine would need an engine, getting to old to pedal very far. Would be nice in the back of a cool truck at a car show.

Project89 got my bike torn down part of the way today , i wanted to wait till end of summer to do it but there was some dirt and trash in the gas tank and it hung up the float in the left carb.

i deleted the emission stuff off the bike , and got the carbs cleaned back out , going to add an inline fuel filter.

since its so easy to strip it down all the way now im going to tear it the rest of the way down and paint the frame black, replace the cracked rear fender and paint those white with a deep blue pearl over top

im going to strip off all the blinkers/horn reflectors since i never plan to register it , and were i ride those will get ripped off the bike in a hurry. only othe rmod i have planned is swapping out the rear 19.5 long swingarm and 17inch rear wheel for a 21.5 inch long swingarm and 18inch rear wheel off an xr200

might also change the gearing as it sits now its geared to do a lil over 90mph , prolly change out the sprockets for a top speed of around 65

1971BB427 Started the day on the garage roof resealing the flashing on my concrete block firewall. Then cleaned the gutters, and started on the cars.
The front tires on my Falcon are very new, and they began to get a brownish color to the sidewalls for some reason? I rubbed the sidewall with my thumb, and the brown came off, so I figured I'd wash it off. It didn't wash off with my bucket of soapy water, so I figured I'd give hand cleaner a try. Rubbed the sidewalls with a rag and GoJo, and it came right off. Washed them up, and they look new again. Have to see if they stay black now.
Washed the old '69 Burb after that, and then headed out to pick up a friend's car trailer. We're running the '68 Camaro convertible over to DMV tomorrow, so he can get the title and registration changed to his name after 8-10 years! Man, I'd never have put so much into a car, and then get a title! That would be my first trip with a new purchase!

boothboy Every time I start to think about a new car, I just blow out the interior and clean all the windows. Instant new car!

MARTINSR I can't believe how nice looking out through that clear window is! What a difference, now I am jazzed to get that windshield changed out. This coming weekend, it will be done. It's amazing what a difference it made.

thing that sucks is that it's a kids bike. Even with the seat raised it's uncomfortable. So my next bike I'll make sure comfort and size is well considered. I just bought that bike off a whim a long time ago cause I loved the idea of a chopper bicycle. Now that it's built it's useless but might be fun to take it to a show...then it will be on craigslist the week after.

Dave57210 Did not get much done today. I watched the NASCAR race and spent an inordinate amount of time degreasing my old theater-style popcorn machine.

When I had been in town yesterday, as I walked past a BBQ store, I saw a display of various "stuff" outside and big sign that said "FREE". I scored a couple of 1 gal jugs of commercial degreaser for ovens, BBQs, griddles, bakeries, etc, so I tried it on my popper.

Yowzaa!

That stuff really works, but DO NOT get any on your skin, and anything you clean with it has to very well washed afterwards as you do not want to get that stuff into your food.
