In May the seasonal cruises and lawn shows start with frost in the mornings still. But When the high is 50 Deg. F. here the rods are already huddled in their garages for winter ( the first weekend in Oct. is the end of the season here with the "PUMPKIN RUN") Last year we had a killing frost at the end of May destroyed my whole garden LOL I have no HEATER in any of my rods LOL They weigh too much LOL (Slows the car)!!!

wretched ratchet I first saw these ?kids? on the TV Show "Can you Duet" and instantly became a fan. Since that Show they have gone on to build quite a career with a weekly TV Show on RFDTV "The Joey and Rory Show". They're on their 8 season now, I think, and I really enjoy their stuff. He is also an old car nut and she is ?well? you decide.

wretched ratchet Did someone say Honky Tonk? I wish I had a dollar for every time I've bent a reed on the bandstand with this one.

wretched ratchet Good stuff to get ya into the weekend mood, Y'all. P.J. if you keep that up I'll have to keep a box of kleenex on the computer table to wipe the drool off the keypad. Arthur "guitar boogie" Smith knocked out a true Classic that will always stand the test of time. Thanks, "E"

Have a great weekend,

evolvo Enough with the Rap, let's go Country, yahoo! This is an archived show from station KEXP in Seattle. I'm lucky enough to be able to listen to this station live every day, but thanx to the Innernut it is available to anyone with a computer. You can go to their website @ KEXP.org or find it on Tunein.
Anywho, this show is 3 hours every Thursday night, it's called "Swingin' Doors" and I think you country boys will really like it! None of that new country crap, this is traditional style!

Enjoy!!

wretched ratchet I certainly enjoyed ALL of those selections, Joe G. Good easy listening for a winsome Wednesday morning and played by great artists also. Thanks for sharing those.

Joe G I don't mind some rap from time to time, but in general I prefer the early, early rap that wasn't about being a gangster or a pimp or excessively violent or vulgar.

What I really like are the songs that the rap artists take their samples from, like this one that Evolvo and some of the others here will probably recognize:

My friends say I like elevator music.....that may be so, but I like everything else too, from punk to folk.

Here are a few of my favorites as of late:

wretched ratchet Not my forte but lately I have been watching "Dancing With the Stars" with my Wiffy and one of the contestants is Cody Simpson. Over the last three weeks, I have become a fan of this young man. Not because of his music but because of his character, manners, respect and love for his family and his attitude in general. Too bad that all of the young and upcoming artists can't conduct themselves this way. I wish him all the luck and success in whateer he attempts in life and, if I absolutely had to listen to his music, it would be this one.
