CrashFarmer2 Speaking of Bluegrass. Picking, grinning and a little crying.

cozwurth Jamming to a little combination of Bluegrass and Led Zeppelin. Got my new CD in the mail today, Pickin' on Led Zeppelin Vol II. Zeppelin is one of my all-time favorites, and I really like bluegrass, so I figured this would be a good listen. If only it wasn't instrumental only... Need to get Vol I next.

boothboy Here's one I appreciate. A classic sung by a contemporary and not embellished to put a different style on it and make it her "own".

Reminds me of back in 69 when I saw Janus at the Hollywood Bowl. Great concert and the warm ups were Santana and the Youngbloods. I was "stylin" with my "Flares and Soft Puffy Shirt"

Enjoy

I have been to the Buddy Holly Center in Lubbock, his house, his grave, the Norman Petty Studio in Clovis, BIG fan of Buddy, we lost him way too soon.

tech69 what music is missing these days is character, a signature style, and a soul that bleeds into the music. I don't think there's ever been a sound with so much soul as Bob Marley. I tend to think the more adversity you go thru in life transcends into more soulful music, rendering most other music bland.

This is flavor.

CrashFarmer2 Put the headphones on, put the video on full screen, crank the volume up and get ready for 2 hours and 19 minutes of pure ecstasy.
