He along with a number of other students in that class became cops, I didn't. One of our other friends just retired (Mark had been on disability for a number of years) and I said something like "Damn I wish I had became a cop too, I'd be retiring now". Mark said "Brian, you have spent your adult life doing something you enjoy, you have been able to work on show cars and make people happy along with your self every day at a job you love." He went on to say "Javi has been cleaning vomit out of the back of his patrol car all these years, NOW he has retirement to enjoy, you have enjoyed your whole working career and will continue to'.

I will never forget that, he said he wished he had kept working on cars, he said he envied what I was doing all these years. He had a 29 Model A project going when he became a cop and sold it. He really opened my eyes that day as to just how lucky we are getting to do this stuff. I am not building hot rods like you everyday and still I enjoy the business. You get to REALLY do what others only dream of and that includes me.

You ARE blessed!

You deserve it - even if you don't personallyfeel that you do - at least admit it to your wife and your son & daughter - they deserve to have it confirmed - what they already know (as do the rest of us!)
Thanks Mr.Dave....

I'M BLESSED !!!!!!

In fact, I missed a turn somewhere on the way back and wound up on the opposite side of the bayou from the side I went down on. When I spotted a couple of hotrods along Bayou Lafourche, I figured it was likely somebody you knew.

I don't think its a sin to display your God given talent. Here's a nice thing about talent from the Bible;

Matthew 5:16: “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

May God Bless Ya

From seeing your work shine here, I know that if I need expert metal work done, I'm heading to Houma.

Nolan.. Please don't take that the wrong way... The people that know me in person,, Know's I don't like to brag... I even have friends that tell me the same thing you said.. They say I talk to low of myself when talking to someone...

I know what I can do.. I just don't see it as something no one else can't do... I just push myself to be the best I can.. I don't believe in giving someone something I wouldn't want myself... So every car I build..I would love to own it... It's like when I'm building something,, I forget it's for someone else and build it as if it's mine,, And they are happy in the end..

As for what I said about the shirt,, I don't think I would feel right wearing something like that.. Just not me..Even If I was some big star.. Just don't fit right with me.. I didn't mean to come off sounding ruff with what I said,, So don't take that the wrong way..

I just let people lift me up and not myself..

Don't get me wrong,, All the kind words help fuel my fire.. But that's not why I post.. I just love giving back.. God gave it to me... I'm just paying it forward in my own way..

My biggest reason to post is to help people think outside the box and to believe in them self's.. No matter how hard things is around you.. I fight a sickness everyday.. But I don't let it win.. By me keep pushing forward,, I WILL win over it..Thanks everyone for pushing me to move forward..Randy

And if you go to houma,, Turn around,, YOU PASSED ME UP !!!!!!
