Engine oil pan swap

Thanks

I did some looking around in those forums and found some goon info.

Found this place Improved Racing GM LS-Series Engine Oil Pan Dimensions. with part numbers and info and pictures with dimensions!
Looks like there GM Truck / SUV Oil Pan may work?

Also sent some Emails for more info and compatibility with my engine.
Compatibility is the big thing, I hate waiting just to have to send something back and start all over.

From what I have been able to find out one style Pan could fit many makes and models.
But wont take the chance without some verification, that's why I was looking for some one that has first hand knowledge.

Engine oil pan swap

Check out this Moroso oil pan for F-body LS engines. Moroso Street/Strip Oil Pans 20140 - SummitRacing.com I guess you could call Moroso's tech line and ask if it will fit the vehicle you are putting in. I am sure they will probably tell you to take measurements. It is a rear sump oil pan and it will fit the L76 engine just don't know if it will fit what ever you are installing it in. Check out this forum for info. Disable DOD - LS1TECH

Engin oil pan swap

Hi

I just Pick up 2008 Pontiac G8 L76 LS Engine with Active Fuel Management and a six speed Automatic with only 19K mi.

Did a first test fit today and looks like I will have only one problem. The oil pan is a front sump and I need a rear sump oil pan to clear the cross member.

Q: I have looked at a couple online, but has any one ever put a rear sump pan on this engine?
