wretched ratchet Alan, I found me a support group so I can listen to Rachael and Crew now without needing rehab. I've shared some of their songs with a Music Guru friend of mine and his comment was "looks like she was born in the wrong generation". Thank God for Youtube.

boothboy I started with XM years ago when they were $3.95 a month. Great listing. I ended up with five receivers ( to lazy too switch them from vehicle to vehicle. Besides they were cheap!). I was crossing the country at least four times a year and could listen to the same station the entire trip (with the exception of the Columbia River Gorge, San Francisco and New York City. The height of the buildings and the wall of the Gorge blocked out the signal). Then Sirus took over and the rates crept up. A few years back my wife said " Do you realize were paying almost $500/yr for XM?) After cleaning my shorts I called and canceled four of the receivers. Can you believe that Sirus/XM couldn't believe that someone might not want to pay $500 to hear a radio?
That left me with one receiver in my shop so I could listen to BB King and his cronies. A few years later when it came time to sign up for another year Wifey said " Do you realize we are paying $185/yr for your shop radio?) Crap!!! Consulting my Computer Guru (Ken) we devised a method of shooting a Wifi signal from the house to the shop (800' down hill, through the trees and into a metal building) and I added another Computer to the other five I already use at home.
Bingo!! Pandora in the shop! Got my BB, got my Stones, got my Eric Clapton, even got my Joe Cocker!
I'm a happy camper.
Now if I only hadn't burned up my Compressor Motor last week!

I sure dig Pandora. It pisses me off though that I can't listen to it at work anymore with the position I now have. CRAP, I have to listen to what ever the other guys want to that is blasting from their radios. Which is usually good, vintage rock or disco, I can dig it. But I miss my Pandora with MY stations on it. Found a lot of very cool music I didn't know existed. "Indie" what a great bunch of artists!

I love music, I know this isn't liked by everyone, but I dig most every kind of music and this stuff became one of my favorites because of Pandora.

BLASTbeet I appreciate most types of music as long as it's well performed and makes me feel something.
Ususally listen to Rock or Metal though.
Preferably Black/Deathmetal or rock with some serious groove in it like Clutch, Led Zeppelin or the Electric Boys.

I also play drums in a metalband.

Cheers!

TucsonJay Just listened to that Stones song. My generation grew up with the very best music!!!

The few years after high school, in the late sixties and early seventies, about a dozen or more of us hung together. We were car buffs first, but about every other night for several years we were at a pizza joint with our girlfriends and others, plugging the jukebox and having a group sing along that lasted for hours! On the weekends we did the same at each others houses! Motown, British invasion and acid rock. We embraced it all! Great times!!!

A couple brothers who were part of our group formed a band, and performed that great music up until today. We just lost one of them, but the band goes on! {:-)

If I hadn't chosen my career in cars, music would have been the next pursuit!

Thanks for the reminder. :-)~
