DanTwoLakes I tried a water based adhesive called Simalfa. The problem is that the glue needs to be gravity fed for some reason, so you'll need a special gun with the cup on the top to spray it with. This one has a plastic cup and the internal parts are stainless steel, all to prevent rusting. You have to be careful that no air gets into the gun or the glue can dry inside the gun which will ruin the gun. You need to clean the gun regularly, and while it does a nice job with foam to foam applications, it will not replace top and trim contact adhesive. I was hoping it would replace both of the adhesives that I use regularly, but that wasn't the case. I'm sure it is also more expensive than regular K-Grip.

K-grip 392 ?

Any opinions on this adhesive ? It appears to be environmentally friendly and cleans up with water.
