300 adversized duration in a 283 will be allot harder to deal with on the street than 300 in a 383 kinda thing, just thinking out loud

the tach appears to be over reading imo.

Thought I would bump this thread up, it now has a Holley 750 double pumper on it, it's quicker for sure.
Also, made a video of the truck. (it hesitates to start for a second, because i had the choke in the wrong position)

Yeah, the truck runs great, though like was suggested earlier a little bigger carb could help out I think.
As I mentioned I'm looking for a 750 cfm carb. Do you guys recommend something with vacuum secondaries? Also, should I go for single or double pumper?

camaro 355 what does stroking an engine have to do with the cam duration? Your last 2 posts on this thread,I dont understand?

|camaro355||if you have to much duration its not going to make it run any better unless the motor has been stroked if it has a stock stroke your going to be dumping to much fuel and air into the motor thus not going to run right remember you can easily over cam a motor|

|camaro355||less duration on the cam would help you have to have a tighter lobe seperation in order to make the most power and step up on the carb a little and for the cam i would run around a 274 duration for the build you have going and about a 2500 stall to get the truck going|

Bumping this thread up, I've been looking around at some used carbs because I'm wanting to get a 750.
I've found a Jegs 750 carb locally, that I might can get a good deal on.
Does anyone know which company actually makes the Jegs carbs?

For what its worth, I have the same heads (Sportsman ll's) advertised at 64cc. I cc'd mine and they bang on 61cc's with valves in, no plugs.
