big gear head Drive it all out together. Save the retainer. Some installation kits come with a new retainer and some don't. You might have to use it again.

ford 9 third member bearing removal

trying to remove the the small pinion bearing inside my ford 9 third member. looks like there is some kind of snap ring that needs to be removed before bearing can be removed. is this so or does the bearing and ring all come out all in one?
