deadbodyman something to consider is many times you want quick access to the motorso you may want the hood to also open like normal...I'm doing one and built a frame ,bolted it on and mounting the hinges I have the option ...A one piece canget to be a pita after the coolness wears off

poncho62 A friend has a 53. He bolted the parts together, built a frame and hinged it....uses a convertible pump and cylinders to operate it...Works slick.

Howdy, try looking at | Fiberglass Auto BOdy parts, Monster Truck and Full Race bodies. Molding fiberglass since 1987. I can't vouch for their quality, or pricing, but I seem to remember that they had one available at one time.
Hope that helps. Rick

51' ford tilt front end

so your suggesting to use the parts bolted together as a mold and take a splash off that...

TucsonJay You might start searching the internet for one, but I suspect you won't find one, so you probably have two other choices...

1- Make a tilt front by bolting your front sheetmetal together, then build a simple frame inside with hingepoints.

2- Find a nearby fiberglass producer who can pull a quick mold off of your car, that can be used to produce a part.....

...or simply lay up a 'glass shell over your front sheetmetal by bolting it together with the hood-to-fender gaps closed up an overall amount of about 1/4 to 3/8 inch. That would make it narrow enough to make up for the thickness of the 'glass piece made over it. You may have to unbolt the parts inside the 'glass shell to get them out.
