Why headers, I have a warmed up 350 in my 48 Chevy with a mustang II front suspension. Unless you are building a race car manifolds work fine, don't leak and clear late model Gm steering. I don't think my engine has ever seen any rpm over 5500 so all headers would do is make noise, of course I'm an old man and like to cruse and stomp on it once in awhile and the car is fast enough for me. LOL.

|spacytracy||Don't know if shorty is the correct term. I used Patriot ceramic coated hugger headers that dump straight down to the exhaust. My car is low enough that shorty headers would not clear the ground as the collector would be under the car. 2 1/2" exhaust pipe with Flow master 40 mufflers|

I have a 1937 Chevy pick up. I bought a set of long tubes designed to fit a SBC in a model A chassis. I think they were from Patriot, but couldn't say for sure.

But if your not looking for big HP gain, then block huggers will almost always fit.

Headers for 1938 Chevy Coupe.......Suggestions?
I have 1938 Chevy coupe with a 350 in it and would like to install some headers. My issue is that I don't have much room between the engine and frame and if I get headers that will not fit, I just wasted money. Anyone here with a chevy around the same year with a Chevy 350 and headers? If so, what headers did you install? Basically, I don't want to buy something that doesn't fit.
