That is a Chevy concept. It's the 1955 Chevrolet Biscayne. Joe Bortz has it now.

As I understand it, the reason the mouse trap went away was because the Motor Company changed the clutch release in '68 and it was no longer needed. On the old 4 speeds models the clutch release lever was so long they could not make the clutch lever work without it.

John , were you referring to the "clutch booster" spring mechanism used in conjunction with the hand shift bikes with your mousetrap reference? If so the hand shift option was last offered in 1978.
