DoubleVision I`ve never seen a GM tranny without the O ring, however, I`m sure you can go to any parts store and get the correct O ring, or swipe it off another tranny, I wouldn`t use the gasket sealer, as most of the O rings on the dip sticks are fairly thick and you would have to clean it all out to get the right O ring back in, seems to me as if it would be easier just to get the O ring and do it right the first go round so you don`t have to go back and do it later.

Filler tube leak

When I pulled out the filler tube on my 200r4 tranny it was very difficult to get it out.
Now I can not get it to tighten up. There is no O-ring for it to fit into. Do you think it would be best to get another filler tube and O- ring, or would gasket sealer work?
This is only a temporary tranny, till I get the money up to sup-up the car.
