A freind's Dodge p.u. had a Mustang II setup and it worked great...but I didn't quite trust it. It did look tiny. With the X-body stuff already in there, and theoretically a good choice, I might try to work out it's problems instead.
What did they do wrong?

They make a lot of kit's for that truck that is far for being to light... The one I got from Art Morrison's for my 41 willys. That front end looked strong enough to put under a bus...
I wouldn't trust a stock Mustang II under it..

|jandre||That's what he was saying. Maybe he didn't have one built heavy enough for his pickup. thanks for the information. I didn't want to put one on my 57 and then have a tough time getting replacement parts...|

IFS for a 57 chevy truck
I have seen a lot of posts on this subject. I finally found a stock frame that hasn't been cut or welded on yet. my truck has a 77 seville subframe on it and it fits great. Problem is that the people that put it on did it all wrong and it won't align right. I bought some upper A arms with 5 degrees caster, and it still rides poorly and doesn't drive smoothly. I like the idea of putting the Seville front clip, if it was done right. Besides the camaro, what subframe will offer the best fit and durability. A buddy used the mustang II kit, but he says it is too light for the truck. Also on those kits, when you need rotors or other parts, do you have to get specialty parts?
