SSedan64 Some Info & Pics here >> 700R4 Throttle Valve Cable Adjustment Instructions
TV cable geometry & adjustment is very critical.
The TV pressure rise needs to be a little ahead of engine torque.

lq4 with 700r4 tv cable

I just put a lq4 6.0 in a 53 chevy pickup. The problem is I had a just rebuilt 700r4 and wanted to use it. No problem adapters available for flywheel. The problem is the truck manifold. There is not a straight shot to the bell crank adapter. From what I've researched u need to be at parallel pull at 25% throttle opening. Using the truck manifold the fuel rail brackets are in the way. Has anybody ever done this swap using the 700 and if so what did u do for a tv cable bracket while still achieving the correct angle and radius on the pull. Sure need some input. Just how important is the parallel thing. Thanks Jesse
