tech69 got this gas lens today to finish up another aluminum skateboard. Can't wait to try it out. I got a couple 1/2" cups on the way too. This cup is a 7/16". Aluminum is a problematic metal as far as contaminants go, so the gas lens might help in those regards. In any case, the more I mess with aluminum the more my torch looks like the guys doing aluminum sheet. You ask the guys at the weld store and they'll have your set up all screwed up.

OldTech We have had temps in the teens and my shop is kept at 59 degrees by the lights alone. It's nice when you build it yourself and it works!

I've been hesitant to but will take pics of a rear body and drop off replacement I got. Been working the smaller jobs while sitting on it. Trying to make 160 for the month and am on pace but it's super cut throat. It means you have to keep tearing down cars and horde them somewhat, then chose which one to knock out first. The more you have open the more you will make but the more they will complain. ahahhaa. They have unrealistic expectations and know better that you have to do that to make your hours but they still expect it to get done quick when you have put togethers that are priority. It's a pressure cooker for sure but the money is good so I accept it with the territory.

tazhog Did a little paint work today ! Thought I'd have a little fun on the soda machine for one of our fire departments !!!! Last pic as I'm putting it back together ! Now that's work trying to remember how it goes back in order reversed as stuff has to go in a certain way or you have to take stuff back apart to get at the bolts that are hidden behind the coin tray etc. etc. What did I get my self in and pictures I took really haven't help !!!

adantessr Monday built a handicap ramp for a friend of the wife. Just a little one from the deck into her door. Yesterday built two steps to come in our kitchen door with jus 5-1/2" rise per step. My back and hips do not handle 8" risers anymore. Built both on the tailgate of my pickup so I wouldn't have to bend. My back is still killing me. Add to the degenerative disc disease temps in the 30's , I am not feeling very good.

Rip VW I have not done a thing in the last 2 days. we are having a little cold snap and when the outside temp dips below 35 or so degrees F My furnace in the shop can't keep up with the demand and it runs continuously. With these bones I can't work at low temps.

So I have stayed in and played in the electronics lab yesterday and did a bunch of little honey Do's around the house today. Tomorrow it is expected to maybe be in the 40's so it will be back to the T..

John long Wow, It is only going to get up to 42 here today. I guess it won't hurt me to wear a jacket.

Well that was yesterday, and it was 30 degrees and 40 mph winds! Today it's 28 degrees and 50 mph winds, with snow predicted in an hour! Things change quickly here this time of year! Rain and mid 40's predicted tomorrow.

1971BB427 Spent the day doing something I never thought I would. Detailing and cleaning my wife's new (to her) Ford Fusion SE V6. As a life long Chevy guy, I never had an issue with old Fords, or anyone else owning a newer Ford, but I never thought we'd own one.
Daughter's old '94 Mazda developed a front tranny seal leak, and at 270,000 miles it just wasn't worth fixing, so we gave her the wife's Mazda with 131,000 miles and went car shopping. Didn't take long to run into this one owner car, and with extremely low mileage, and a $5k price it was hard not to buy it.
She's having withdrawals from giving her Mazda away, but does like the bigger, and more deluxe car.
