The plain black should be ground. Verify it with an ohm meter. Then hook it to black on the module.
Red balck and purple black go to the other 2 wires at the dizzy.
Purple to purple black would make sense, then red black to orange.
If it ends up that they are backwards it wont hurt anything, it may just not run.
The four pin connector , you will need only a hot in run and start. Hook it to the red wire at the module. If you want the white wire to retard spark timing (which is what it does) then hook it to the wire in the 4 pin connector that is 12 v + while cranking, as pictured in the schematic.
Whoops...green wire from module goes to coil -

LATECH Here is a color schematic.
your car was allready electronic. Just be sure the white goes to the I terminal at the solenoid (hot when cranking starter) and the red goes to hot in run.
I see the link I posted didnt work.

Good stuff here.

LATECH Just rig up the old Dura spark II system on it. As long as you have a mechanical/vacuum advance and a magnetic pickup in the dizzy you got.
Or just pull the whole thing from a U Pull It yard.
You can also run a GM 4 pin module on the duraspark dizzy

MSD Box

I have a 88 Mustang GT that I convert to carb, running with a MSD 6AL box. I also put on a after market distributor. I'm about to sell the Mustang but keeping the MSD box for another project, and I'm looking for a ICM to replace the box with. The car came with the ICM that plugged into the distributor, but since I changed the distributor, will any fender mounted ICM work?
