Did you have to cut any wires from the old harness when installed the new?
Also what was the donor vehicle?
the donor was a 2001 gmc somona 4.8 2 wheel drive-------yes i cut some wire from the s10 system but i dont think that i cut any from the speedometer

LATECH The Dakota SGI-5 C may be just the ticket
Looks like it can be tied right to the VSS with no problem. Then adjust for your specific speedometers needed input.

speedometer

I put a 4.8 motor and transmission in a 95 S10 and I cant get speed ometer to work.
Can anyone give me a diagram of how to hook up computer to speedometer to make it work.
