cartoon14 S10 is a good choice we use the long cab standard box(when you can find them) wheels base will need to be lengthened. cab mounts will need to be fab'd and the front steer makes some fab issues on the core support (steering box is ahead of the cross member) Our shop has done several of these trucks another choice is a mid 70's Camaro front sub frame

choppedford This is not my truck. A customer came to me with an early 55 5 window that he has on a 4wd chassis and he hates the fact that its 4wd. He has a 56 frame that has been blasted and painted with a newly rebuilt engine and trans. ready to go. I was wondering about swapping the truck body that he likes on to his frame. I've heard that an s10 is an easy swap but not sure what year or long bed short bed etc.

MARTINSR They are completely different. The 56 is much wider for instance.

Find the correct frame and sell the 56. Or make one from scratch, it would be easier than trying to use the 56.

What is wrong with your 54 frame?

Chevy truck question

How hard would it be to put a 54 chevy pickup body on a 56 chevy frame?
