I realize it has to be cured at above 500 deg... but I also happen to own a kiln that will adjust down , large enough to hold the pieces that I want to fool with , and that stuff has an attractive price, not to mention looking like a lot less fuss to apply.
up close it looks like polished steel, its not as shiny as the Innate chrome paint. and it has to be cured above 500. if not it will come out the second you wash it with water. I did the sample on plastic to see if it could hold on lower temps, but it didnt. clear coating it wont work either. this is truly meant for metals, and it needs properly prep if not it will flake off. so its not so easy to pull it off

but if you do it right and use the best chrome paints out there like Innate Chrome, you can reproduce a very realistic chrome like surface..

Iīve done a few reviews on chrome like coatings..

here is my latest review on the "Innate Chrome Paint"

But the Only coating like system that can even outshine real chrome is "Spray On chrome" while not entirely a coating system, more like a Hybrid system, between chemical(silver nitrate) and paint(the silver goes in between the glossy basecoat and the protective clear coat). if you thought chrome paint was difficult, then Spray on chrome makes it look like childīs play, But Iīve done a How to, so anybody crazy enough can do it..

here is the thread, make sure to read it all if you want to learn how to do it.

fenderless 33 I just made a fiberglass fan shroud and painted it with upps-a color chrome paint. It DOES NOT look like chrome. Want it does come of like is aluminum. You can hardly tell the difference in the aluminum radiator and the shroud.
