mmerlinn Count the splines on your output shaft and get a yoke to match.

Crosley I merged your two threads on the same question into one thread.

FYI: the common term in the industry is "slip yoke" not slide yoke

slide yokes

Do the nv3500 transmission output shafts vary between the ones in the s10s and full size trucks? The trans I got is from an s10 to the best of my knowledge and I put it behind the 4.3 in my 1500? Do I need to get the yoke from an s10? I dont do any heavy pulling with my truck its just a 1/2 ton truck daily driver. I bought a yoke from a local guy that slid onto the shaft of an nv3500 that I asume was out of a full size truck cause its all he has on his yard. When I got it home and tied it it didnt slide onto the shaft. What yoke do I nred to get? This is very important cause I make a living with my truck. I need an answer fast.

slide yoke variations s10 & c1500

I need help fast! I have recently installed a manual transmission in my 94 1500.It would be running down the road right now but i have a problem. I cant get the slide yoke to go in the transmission. I have absolutely no clue if the transmission came out of an s10 bassed vehicle or full sized truck. Does it make any difference at all with the slide yoke?
