79 Chev C-10------34 years, but this truck is about done and will probably be sold soon
59 Chev ElCamino--12 years, surprised I'm still married after all the money this took to restore
66 Chev ElCamino--6 years, but just finished the restore last April
65 Ford Ranchero--2 years, but my uncle bought it new---left it to me when he passed--I remember riding in this car as a young boy----factory 289HiPo/4spd
05 Ford Ranger----bought it new and will probably hang onto this for a while.

The rest of the cars have no real personal attachments, and we go thru a car pretty quick. Living in Texas can wear a car out in a hurry.

Wish I still had:
70 Plymouth Sport Fury GT 440-6-------------killed by a drunk driver while it was parked
67 Chrysler 300 440-TNT/4-spd/Discs/Posi----Stolen in 89---All time FAVORITE car and would never have sold it.

I'm older than dirt.

I found My 1916 t roadster in 1951 on a neighbor's ranch, , and saw pictures in a 57 Hotrod magazine and started gathering parts, and it's still in a corner of the barn and needs a restore, better steering gear mounts, redo the brakes, paint is peeling. etc

Fleet

Since I rarely get rid of cars the collection continues to grow:

73 Duster-Been in Family since 74. Still driven occasionally.
78 Camaro-Purchased March 86. Mostly daily driver until 05'
79 Camaro-Purchased July 87-Wife's Daily driver until 2001, back on the road in late 2009 after lengthy restoration. Took best in class at an AACA sponsered show it's first outing.
89 Mustang 5.0-Been in Family since new-Drive it maybe once a month now. I drove this one quite a bit until I got the goat.
2006 GTO-Semi daily driver, bought new/never titled from dealer in April 07'

Wish I had my first '65 GTO of two, bought in December '66 when I was in the Corps, returning from first trip over the water, 3x2, 4 speed, raced at Carlsbad, CA. Before I went overseas my '55 hardtop, jacked up front end, fun car. Bought, built and sold another 3x2, 4 spd to a kid in AK who couldn't drive a stick, let him make payments on it for a year knowing the fever I had many years ago. When he picked it up he almost backed into my new truck, I got it in 1st gear and he jack-rabbited down the street. Never saw it again.

Had the blown Pro Street Nova, a back half car, since 2000, was a $600 basket case from the weeds in Willow, AK, took 5 years to build and paint, trailered it to TX when I left AK two years ago. Got the big block T-Bucket in pieces from an estate sale in San Antonio, just over a year ago, put it back together as a driver, upgrading it now that I've moved from TX to Washington State.

Ditto an wanting that time machine! :spank:

Geez, I forgot to add my '63 Corvair Spyder, my 63 1/2 Ford 406 4 speed, and '56 Nomad from 1972, which was a daily driver!

Hey Brian...you had a 67 Chrysler 300...My Dad bought one new in 67, 440 automatic car...I love it and so did he, he traded it in 1970 for a new Newport...He's been kicking himself ever since. Over the years we've talked about that car often and in April of last year I found it, 30 miles from my home town. I bought the car, it's still all there, the interior is in real good condition but the body and drive train need work. I hope to surprise him on his 85th birthday.

My favorite car I bought in 1992, a 1969 AMX...that car is a true survivor with just over 40K original miles...with what I learned from 1971 when I turned 16 and bought my first car, a 1st gen Firebird and all of the other 1st gen Firebirds and Camaros I've owned and sold for way to cheap because I thought if I made a couple of hundred dollars on them I was doing great...the AMX is a keeper and not for sale.

I bought my 300 from the original owner in '78

Not many 4-spd Chryslers out there and this car was a special order vehicle.

When the car was recovered mid 1990, ALL of the 300 Specific stuff was gone.
hood. grille, bumpers, deck lid, even the quarter panels were cut off.
Interior was completely gone--even the dash.

The car did give just over 10 years of pleasure tho---only car I have ever missed.
