I did that a couple of weeks ago, but now I need more. He's a really nice guy but I feel like I'm bothering him. Already need to ask for more of the 1/8 closed cell foam. Would prefer to buy it from a re-sale place.
I have found a foam shop that buys from a company that has a glue that seems to be correct, and they have agreed to bring in a gallon for me. Just have to go in and pay for it first. Hopefully it'll do the job:
JAXON AUTO TRIM AND MARINE TRIM CEMENT

adhere Landau tops. Provides a waterproof, heat resistant, non-staining

more. Works on marine applications. To thin or clean use S 8427 solvent.

|crownver||So I tried to order a gallon of the glue from AHTurf. The order was accepted, and then received an email it was backordered. Waited 2 weeks and finally phoned them. Girl on the phone couldn't find the order. Just recieved an email apologizing and saying the order had been canceled and refunded because they can't ship across the border. I'll keep looking for a Canadian supplier.|

|crownver||Got an email from ahturff today. The gallon of glue is backordered. 10 days before they ship. Starting to think they are having second thoughts about shipping across the border.|

OK, I went through the purchase process for the glue from AHturff and it came up shipping via UPS ground for $38. Best so far at $59 total, but I'm pretty sure if I complete the order I'll get an email saying they can't ship to me.
What the h, I'll give it a try and let you know.

|crownver||Problem is for the glue is that they can't ship it across the border. Has to originate in Canada.|

Try "ahturff.com" for the dap glue .
And "your auto trim store" for the gun

|crownver||Well I googled EZE spray and it cost $30 but the shipping is $38. I wish I could find Dap here. Only thing so far is Jefbond 3000 at $62 plus $25 shipping. Ever heard of Jefbond?|

i've had the same glue gun for 4 years, i've never cleaned it.
it is an old siphon gun that was discarded by a painter friend of mine
i pulled the vent hose off the canister vent and plug it with a pop rivet

google EZE spray glue gun . you will find them for about $20 to @25 , get the one with the plastic cup . The glue doesnot stick to the plastic so if it hardens in the cup you just grab it with plyers and remove it .
And as for spray cans @ $10 a can and a gallon of Dap @ $22. Its a no brainer .

Yeah, I know about the rattle can glue. I can get 3M 80 which is supposed to work, but at $33.00 a can, I can do a lot more for the money with a spray gun. Also, according to DanTwoLakes, gun spraying is the best way. I'm going to try the little Husky gun and see how that works. The glue I have is designed to be sprayed, so hopefully it works. Be a few days until I get to it though. Working on cab corners at the moment.
I thought I could use mineral spirits to clean the gun?

Rattle can glue will work if it is the right kind 3M #77 is NOT the right kind. 3M makes several hi-strength glues in rattle can. Look ofr hi-strength and hi-temp. Short of that any cheap spray gun will work but don't expect to get a good spray pattern out of it. Most you hope for is a slurry and the gun must be cleaned with Xylol or it will become useless in no time.

Princess Auto is a lot like "Horrible Fright".
If a ceiling texture gun would work - they can be had cheap in lots of places
