aosborn If you like the ride and the wheel and tire combo but it is just too low, you can either install a spacer like you mentioned (I usually just make one out of .250 wall rectangular or square tubing and box the ends) or you can re-arch the spring. With the spacer, you will need to get new U-bolts made up. It might be cheaper to re-arch the spring.

MARTINSR Do you have any photos, a 2" drop isn't much, I think it was darn near that much stock. That doesn't change your problem of course but maybe with a photo showing what you have a solution could be found. It could be as simple as changing the rims because they have too much offset.

1929 ford dropped suspension

I recently purchased a 1929 ford tudor. Its 80% complete at the moment, but an issue I have is the front suspension. I believe its a 2" tube drop, and I have 165/R60-15 front tires and they strike the fenders when I turn or hit a bump. It looks like the drop is too much and I need to place a 1-1/2 - 2" spacer between the cross member and the leaf spring center mounting. Does anyone make a spacer for this?
