Is it new, if yes....tight, no slack.

You are not going to get any further until you get a stock pushrod
to get started, at least to see where you are.
I think you were told earlier a roller pushrod is not going to be right.
The other way is to buy an adjustable pushrod which will find the right length for you to use.
Then go to SummitRacing and look for a set of pushrods of that length.
Pushrod search at Summit.

For the SBC engine, there are "off the shelf" pushrods in any length you might need. They come in 0.050" increments.

Theres an E-mail for this guy at the bottom of this page I posted, Maybe he can steer you to someone, or a car club?

The Old North American cars of the Netherlands

Wezz! even with the older European cars , the Netherlands Mechanics can show you how! or come over for a few bucks to see how your doing and give you a hand! mechanics in your area must be well trained for all vehicles?

Any way: The 7.8s should be ok!!! Cut a chop stick to 7.8 and put it where the push rod goes or something!

You didn't change your cam bearings so a little wear will add some slack to the chain, the more wear a little more slack! post a picture of your chain and the slack you have!

Ik wil send you a video of the slack. . Also i measure my roller pushrod its 7.2" p.s i contact a few carmechanics they say i dont know anything about a ?v8 i think they are scared for it or so . But with the help of you guys i am come realy further :)

Other than a manufacturing defect in the timing set or a stack up of tolerances on the block, about the only way to get slack in a new timing set/chain is if the block main bores were bored and honed. This moves the cam and crank closer together. If that has been done, there are undersized timing sets (0.005" and 0.010" undersize are commonly available) to compensate for the line boring. One example: Cloyes p/n 9-3100-10

Wezz, If my local parts store doesn't carry it, I would have to order it,and then wait, if their warehouse doesn't have it! it will be a week before I place my order to Summit and my orders big on a semi not U.P.S. so it takes longer! And then I have to postal it to you.

At least call your supplier and see if they can get it and how long it will take and let me know! If you really need my help or not? you may be able to get it before me LOL.

Was your machine work done by a shop close to you?????

here the pics also 1 from my block
The small amount that's removed from the tip of the valve won't hurt anything. It more or less offsets the valve seat in the head being a bit deeper and the valve's seat a bit thinner when the valve job was done. So the overall difference equals out. More or less.;)

I see you have exhaust valve rotators on the heads. Shouldn't be a problem with the springs the cam you have calls for.

@ painted jester No its not to far from

Exactly.

but the story about the spring is not clear for me jet . :)
No worries. The "exhaust rotators" are the special valve spring retainers used to make the valves not wear as rapidly when using unleaded petrol.

In engines that will see high rpm these rotators are removed and replaced with retainers like are on the intake valves. But with your cam, you don't need to worry about this.

Are the springs stock? Not to bring up something else to worry about, but it is always better to replace the stock springs with new springs recommended for the cam you're using. I apologize if this has already been covered.

Has the valve spring installed height been verified?
