International i called the place in michigan that you listed, they said they can't do anything bigger than 60" wide or long..... the search continues.

BOBCRMAN@aol.com Good luck with the build.. For many years I had a 57 Binder truck travelette for a hauler. Luckily mine came from an Air Force base in Texas. NO RUST! Built like a tank and rode about as bad. She ain't much fer purty but she's hell fer tuff!

joe_padavano Unfortunately, the dipping and e-coat providers are pretty limited due to the EPA constraints. There used to be a ReadiStrip in PA, but I believe it's closed up. The only place I know of that will strip and e-coat in the same facility is International Paint Stripping in Michigan.

i've been hittin up body shops, restoration "experts" locally, asking at the local paint stores and it's all "i don't know" or they haven't had that done to anything....

killeratrod your best bet is to check out some bodyshops that restore classics, Also your local car shows , weekly meets at the burger shop .and such. Ask all the guy in the clubs . They should be able to point you in the right direction for someone in the area.

International Thanks. I've got a 2 bay garage full of parts to keep my internationals together. Haha. I have a1980 scout terra with a 6.9l diesel I swapped in it on 39.5" tall tires. I restored that truck twice, she's a little beat up but I got all the fiberglass replacement panels I have to put on!

vinniekq2 welcome to the forum.Good luck with that truck.In high school a friend built a 4x4 traveller. we got seriously stuck once and it cost us all the money we had to get a tow. Tough trucks,not pretty.we used to find parts at "99" truck parts

New guy here, looking for some tips.

Hello everyone. I'm doing a full ground up restoration of a '71 international "travelette" crew cab long bed pickup truck. Pulled out the old gas 392 to make room for a International DT466 diesel. Converting to 4x4 also. Doing some rust repair and then body work. My main question here can anyone point me in the direction of a good place for acid dipping and e coating in the northeastern part of the country? I lived in NE PA. I drove the truck 2700 miles from AZ home to PA. I want to get in every nook and crannie! I'm cutting the heavy rust out and replacing with fresh metal but theres lots of areas in the pillars and rockers that have surface rust I cannot get to. The few searches I have done lead me to this site and spoke of a place in michigan. There was mixed reviews. I have many many hours not only getting it home but fixing the cab and custom building a firewall. If there were to damage it beyond repair I would probably lose it. Can't just source a cab for it. none of the truck fourms I'm on have any leads, most of us truck guys are cheap and won't spend to do something like that. Thanks for reading and any info provided!
