1971chev 3.08 gears a not so good converter and 4,050 lbs with me in it.

vinniekq2 what was the 60' time? 2.2 ish? does the fuel delivery system have enough volume? should run a high 13 with 96 mph.Its no where near a 12 second car,though we have a few Malibu's that run 12.1s at 102-104 mph.Those cars really launch though.

what gear ratio and converter are you using? You want to "drag" race,you need the drive train to match.

if your car weighs 3300-3400 hundred pounds with you in it,the hp is around 250-275 at the wheels

1971chev I have the 6BTM hooked up just wondering if there is any way to tell if it is pulling timing as it should and also on my vaccum advance should this be hooked to manifold or the carb?

1971chev Im not sure what that lean spot in the beginning is from but is it safe to say I can drop down a couple jet sizes on the secondaries

F-BIRD'88 Yes if the air cleaner lid is too close to the carb choke horn the air flow will be restricted.
If using a 14x3" drop base air cleaner for hood clearance then remove the choke horn on the carb.
Leave the bowl vent tubes as tall as practical but angle slash cut the top of the bowl vent.

But the choke horn has to go.
Do no use less than a 14x3" air cleaner element. If you have the hood cleaance use a 4" filter or stack up two 14x3" filters.
a blower motor has to be able to breath deep to make power.

1971chev I am just waiting for my dyno graph should have it by tonight or early tomorrow. I have been checking on some things on the truck and just now noticed how close my air cleaner lid is to the top of my carb. There is only about 1/8 inch of clearance could this be causing a major problem?

ap72 64cc isn't a bad choice if you plan on running race fuel or ethanol. Maybe you are?

The cam isn't small for street power, it'll definitely limit your peak but with good heads headers and a blower 500hp should still be attainable.

If you're running ethanol I think you may have a pretty strong street runner. Are you running ethanol? If not I'd switch to it.

F-BIRD'88 Why do you not know the Brand name of the cylinder heads? Are they some cheap Chinese casting?
a 64cc chamber was a bad choice for this motor.

You want a low low low engine compression ratio..

on this motor with a flat top piston you want a large combustion chamber 76cc+++++

If the block is decked you need a evern larger chamber 80cc ++++ jet to get in the ball park (8.5:1)

I bet you bought what they had.,,, and wanted to sell rather than what you really needed. .....

If you want to step on it hard you need a low low 7.5:1cr on pump gas.
On a 327 that means a deep -22cc-30cc dish piston and larger 76 to 80cc++cc heads.

The cr is too high for agresive boost , without water-methanol injection or high octane gasoline.

This blower is capable of 630++hp at high boost (2.38:1 drive ratio) They only way to run that on this motor is 110+ octane race gas. And a cam that lets it in and out.

F-BIRD'88 with 64 cc heads and a flat top 327 piston the engine compression ratio is going to be way to high.
It will really limit the amount of boost you can run on pump gas. Therfore limit the power.
was this engine knocking? Is that the reason for the huge jetting?
