I'm not sure what the 350 came out of, and im wondering what it is. I guess I need to know where I can get the #;s for the block from and also for the heads. Thanks
The production no's are stamped on the deck pad in front of the passenger head, the casting no's for the heads are between the rocker arms under the valve cover, the block casting no's are on the belhousing pad behind the drivers side cylinder head.
There are a series of numbers and letters stamped on the right side of the block, where the head and block meet, just above the water pump (see photo).
These letters will tell which application your SBC came from.
I really LOVE purple on a car. My 37 Dodge is Plum Crazy. My 65 Chevelle is just plain Purple. That purple color on the engine is a GREAT touch. What car is the engine in?
A internet friend posted the picture on another forum and I "took it" for my my own use.
He has a purple pickup...a 35 I believe.
