|dstanford60||ok then that is what I will do,I will run the 7727 and save me a lot of head ache's I already have the vacume switch,and the brake switch,but don't I have to use the P/N switch also,and I was wondering if the buffer from the 93 would work on the 700,its a DRAC,the one from the 93,if not I will go to pick a part and pull the dash out of another vehicle and get on,so I guess monday evening I will put the wiring harness I put together on it,thanks again|

MIL will come on without a 4L60E hooked up. Some performance may be lost as engine parameters cant be well defined enough without feedback from the trans as to which gear is engaged at any time.
If you want to run the PCM for the 93 and not the 7747 , just have The chip modded to run without a trans gear feedback. The PCM has an input for the gear selector that the PCM uses in its algorythms(along with throttle inclination,RPM , current gear ratio feedback from trans and other data) to partially calculate timing. Like I said , some performance can be lost.
The speed sensor for the 4L60E should be fit the 700.
For torque conveter lockup go to PATC and get a vacuum switch to wire in for the TCC solenoid. Feed it from the brake like switch- Normally closed terminal, so when brakes are applied, power is cut- converter unlocks-independent of the engine vacuum switch for TCC.IIRC the 700 has a 4th gear switch you can hook in series with Brake and Vac switches to keep lockup off untill 4th gear and cruise vacuum is achieved.

which one to use
you say I might have issues with the check engine light coming on all the time because there is no 4L60 tranny,and I might be able to get the ECM program to run as a stand alone,is it possible that I might be able to use the ecm to run a 700R4 instead of the 4l60 if I use the DRAC module for the vss and use the E10 wire from the ecm(the TCC sol. wire) to lock the converter,how do you think this will work,I am trying to use the 16168625 ecm to control the 5.7 and the 700R4,I know the ecm is design for a 4L60 but will it run the 700R4

I would run the 7747 on it. Get a seperate fan controller from Derale

The other PCM was for a 5.7 with a 4l60E correct?
Not to sure what kind of driveability issue can occur there with no electronic trans.
You could run the 8625 ,it may work fine , but it would constantly light the check engine light and throw codes for trans circuits that arent there, and it may or may not inhibit some performance.
You could have the chip modded to ignore the trans function to run the engine as a stand alone also .

engine and ECM swap
I have installed a 5.7 from a 1993 Chevy Tahoe,with the ECM (16168625)and wiring harness,but the tranny I used is a 700R4,I have the speed o meter buffer but it is a DRAC my question is should I use the 16168625 ECM or a 1227747 ECM because of the 700R4,the car that all this is in is a 1946 Pontiac two door coupe street rod,I have built a wiring harness for a 1227747 but I found out that I can run the electric fan with the 8625 ecm.plus I have a $200 chip in the 8625 and its polished and mounted,both ECM to be used I still have a lot of work wiring in the brake switch,the vss buffer and the p/n switch,and with the 8625 I don't know what sensors that I have to use,I have all of them but do I need all of them to run right,like the heated oxy.sensor and the air sensor,thanks and has anyone got an answer for me,someone that has used a 1616825 in a engine swap
