I use parafin wax that you get from the canning supply section..works great and leaves no residue..use it on the tablesaw top to keep the rust at bay and gives a slick surface. Also on drawer guides and such as well..

|fncracing||regular bar soap out of the bathroom actually works or wax them with candle wax just rub either on the parts that are rubbing should help|

ok, maybe you'll know.. if I may pick your brain
my home built in 1934 with kitchen cab's that where built onsite..
have no slides, it's wood on wood, the draws stick you have to lift then a little to break them free then they slide fine.. what should be used on the draws and wood they run on.. I was thinking maybe candle wax?

|fncracing||starting my first car build soon I have been helping friends out for years though now I get a chance to do one of my own. I really not into the fast stuff though I wanna cruise lol|

|fncracing||im partial to the bare wood look so they probably just gonna end up with fe good coats of polly wood will have to swell quite a bit I got at least a 1/4 inch clearance on everything|

|gearheadslife||nice, but I'd poly or paint them, grease etc won't be kind to that wood, and if the weather is like hear, when the wood swells it be a r.p.i.t.a. to open the draws..|

this is my eight foot workbench cabinet next to the tool chest
this is 8 foot log with 16 drawers no hardware to build either of the cabinets its all wood slides and handles only hardware I bought was Kreg screws and the hinge for lid of top box

new toolbox i was too cheap to buy one
i have been there and done that with the $3000 toolboxes and when i got my little shop to play in i decided to go a different route
