vinniekq2 dont worry where the tire ends up.The threads sticking through the wheel prevent the tire from turning when you have big big power. The threads need not secure the bead to the wheel so much as stop the bead from turning.

gearheadslife fresh holes

reusing the holes might leave the screws loose to the tire(think striped threads) and if the tire slips on the bead it'll make a mess..(think wall)

Replacing rim screws when re-mounting slicks

I've got some M/T 33x10.5-15w's (tubeless now) on some 14" wide Weld Magnum 2.0 wheels and I'm about to put some tubes in them, my question is, do I try and re-align the screw holes in the slicks when I re-mount?, or do I just rotate the slick some and make new holes in the slick?. I know it's going to be easier trying to align them with a tube inside because the tube will seat the bead.

I'm sure it would be more difficult without the tube, (ether spray etc. to seat the bead on 14" rim)

Just want to see what the "norm" is when it comes to rim screws when re-mounting.

Thanks
