cal1320 Are there bolt holes on the side for motor mounts? If it's a 57, it won't have them.

If it's a 283, suffix code "WA" is for a 1965, '66, or '67 Chevy truck, RPO L32, 2 bbl w/manual trans.

But the same suffix code is also used for a '68 307 and a '69 350 SBC, possibly others as well.

That's why you also need the casting number and date code from the block to narrow it down, although the difference between a small journal and large journal SBC block is pretty easy to spot if you know what to look for. That could narrow it down to a 283/307 or a 350.

The serial number on the passenger side of the block of t he 1957 chevy I just bought is VOII1WA. Any idea what year and size it is?
