This truck is out behind the shop ,you can see the difference in this photo,

the black one with the square back bottom corner is a 54 or 55

harposrepair Is it because the red one is a Chevy and the white one is a F*rd? LOL

Too Many Projects There is no difference. Someone is yanking his chain...

Dragonoake The red one looks like it's chopped a little bit

Dave57210 Maybe I have an over-active imagination, but the doors look bigger/longer on the white one (proportions seem different somehow)

496CHEVY3100 The same basic design family was used for all of its trucks including the Suburban, panel trucks, and Cab Overs. The cab overs used the same cab and similar grill but used a shorter and taller hood and different fenders.

From 1947 until 1955, Chevrolet trucks were number one in sales in the United States.[3]

Didn't know COE used same cab,, from this artice the difference you are referring to must be in the doors ,but I cant see it,

boothboy Perhaps the bottom of the body at the rear of the door is a little more rounded on the white body than the red one.

is it the rear corner of the door glass opening?tom

boothboy I've got it!! My God why did I not see it sooner? It's right there in front of our noses and we couldn't see it. I'm chuckling at our lack of observation. How could we miss it? Ray Charles could have seen it a mile away! It's the simple things that escape our search for the correct answer to life little problems.

One's white and one's red.

MARTINSR Yep, I am thinking you are going to be as blown away as I was! When you find out the difference you are going to crap your pants you didn't see it and it is ALL you will see when you look at these photos after you find out! LOL

boothboy And the answer is in just what we see in your pictures . Not having anything to do with missing parts or what we don't see.
Correct?

MARTINSR There are a lot of things, some I know, some I don't. But in these pictures there is a VERY subtle/distinct difference in the body of these trucks that FLOORED me.

496CHEVY3100 Are you talking body ,,or power train or ??
MARTINSR Guys, I have a question and if you don't mind could I ask it? Finding this out yesterday blew my ever loving mind. I thought I knew everything there was to know about these trucks and I was shocked at this amazing little tidbit.

Who ever's turn it is can I please ask this and you can come in after? I just can't wait!!!!

What is different about these trucks and why?

Brian
