|deadbodyman||finally got started milling my rough sawn heart pine boards. I edge planed them(on a jointer) then ripped them down to 12" wide and straight on both edges. them got started planing the faces down to the proper dimentions , about 1 1/4" from a rough cut 1 3/4... been at it since 2:00 theyre looking good but its a ton of work. I hope it's worth it...to late for pics but I'll post tomorrow nite I cant believe the transformation this wood going through.|

I got some well needed therapy in the garage today. First time touching it in over a year! My "five minutes" was about 3.5 hours and I didn't get much done. Wow, I am off kilter quite a bit, good thing I have extra parts because I cut the first window frame too short. Yeah, like I said, if my "five minutes a day plan" turns into "Five minutes a week" it will get done a heck of a lot sooner than not touching it for a year!
But the second one around came out nice. It's so funny how you can twist and tweak these things unlike I remember doing years ago. Anyway, got the rear half of the frame tacked in there and the front lower piece raked back and in. Got the front piece ready to bend into shape and I'll do that next trip out to the garage.
I put my Chuck Berry LP on the record player and then a few CCR LPs and American Graffiti soundtrack. That Chuck Berry was the very first LP I ever bought new. I got it at the JC Penny in the first mall I ever went into. My mom was probably there to get some new shoes or something and I of course was with her. Listening to it is a treasure of a memory for me.

Spent a little time today getting the piece I cut out of the HDTP ready to go into the convertible. It is already pulling a little bit. I will have to be super careful if this is going to fit after the welding is done.
