I don't think a trailer is a requirement, but driving them from track to track is. Some guys pack everything they need in the backseat and trunk.

Yes, it certainly was worth watching! Haven't paid much attention to drag week, but that was a great video, and neat to see him hauling a trailer around from each strip!

dsraven hey, matts37. I have an elcheapo deluxe blasting cabinet from princess auto (our version of harbor freight up here in Canada) and I use an old built in vacuum cleaner from a house. it works pretty good and has the option to drop out the collection tray underneath to dump out the particles collected. it may have too much vacuum but thay is ok too. it makes it easy to get your hands into the gloves in the machine if they are being "sucked in" from the vacuum inside the box. I use shop vac hose to connect the box to the vacuum, and there is a baffle inside the box so th vacuum doesn't pick up everything close to the outlet of the box, just the dusty stuff.

matts37chev I am never sure what qualifies as "working on" or not.
I did get some parts during the day while at work, and did some homework on the computer when I got home.
Does that count?

Anyway, today I picked up some short (14ish") glasspacks from a co-worker, that I am going to try and use for tailpipe/resonators on the 38 to tone down the exhaust some.
It's has flowmasters, and they are way to loud for my tastes.

I have also been working on (collecting parts) for a dust collector on my HF sandblasting cabinet.
Originally I was going to use the airbox/filter from an ATV, but I just found a nice sized intake filter housing from a small Cat diesel on a roller that was being replaced at work.
So I am going to use it instead, pics to follow.

sportcoupe I took the weekend off the went to CT for Thompson speedways World series of racing. 3 days of some of the best short track racing in the northeast. Final race for the Wheelen modified cars, super imsa modifieds, winged nema midgets , and a host of other divisions. On to next year.

1971BB427 great weekend for car stuff, even though I didn't work on them! Hit the swap meet Sat. and picked up a few trinkets. A spare 4 speed shifter for my Falcon, minus the rods, but only $5. A nice old '64 Chevy 283 distributor for another $5. A few good large sized chisels for $1 ea.
Then hit an estate sale afterwards for a friend's father's home. He used to own a gas station, so lots of misc car stuff. Picked up a couple cases of Mobile 1 synthetic oil, Valvoline VR1, Texaco Havoline, Castrol, etc., etc. all for $1 a qt. and all very recent stuff. Did get a few full old cardboard cans of extinct oil brands for a $1 ea. also for garage art. A bunch of ATF, PS fluid, Marvel mystery Oil, Slick 50, etc. for $1 ea. too. And a box full of various metal funnels in different sizes and lengths for a couple dollars.
Now I just have to rearrange the garage and figure out where to store it all until I've used it up!
