|tech69||I don't want to get my hopes up but usually when I interview I'm going, "damn it" as I'm driving home but today I went, "wheeeeeeeeewww!" Stiff competition I'm sure. He's got guys from all over Sac/Bay from top notch shops that have interviewed so all I can do is pray.|

|tech69||my interview went well. I have a knack for under selling myself so there's no surprises for them if I get hired but they were impressed with the tank I brought and now I gotta gather up some pics to send them to show them more work cause i told them I'd like to get paid enough to where they're ok with a rookie metal fabricator...man, I'm so stupid sometimes. My mindset has been the greatest teacher and there's no one harder on me than me. I was told I'm the top candidate for the job! The stuff I saw at that shop was mind blowing. I saw one Impala going for the Riddler award where the whole frame was stiffened up with thick metal, the entire floor bead rolled/custom/ and it will even have hydraulics and pin striping/art work on the frame. There was a chassis that's going to some big show where it's actually based and cleared and buffed to show car spec. It was unbelievable. The work they do there is just mind blowing. Makes the last shop I worked for seem like a hack shop. They have a Mittler bead roller with 100's of dies and can make any die/shape needed. I hope I get the job. I think they liked me. So today I will put my bike together and take some pics. At some point I will paint the red parts again but not now.|

86 honda 2 cyl xr250r
just gone threw with e carbs redone new drive sprocket and chain , and some other stuff
im already doing osme upgrades on it , swaping out the stock front forks for some of a cr125 and im swaping the rear swingarm to an 87 model witht he 18inch rear wheel instead of the 17incher on the 86.
building a new header with an fmf slipon muffler.
im also going to remove all the street equip as i have no plans to register it as an onroad bike
stock it makes like 34hp and 24ftlbs with the header/ported head and a rejet im hoping to get it to 40+hp , might even end up witht he turbo i had planned to put on the dr200 on this bike

|deadbodyman||Speaking of ball joints I just ordered 4 of them for my Nissan shop truck along with control arm bushings.....The other day I brought the truck to my alignment guy and found the bolts holding the left upper control arm were backed out about half way ,that explains why I could feel movement when I hit the brakes ,it also pulled left which was strange because I just replaced the pads and rotors. good thing I went in when I did ....|

|deadbodyman||Hey Matt. you can clean them up and epoxy them with black epoxy...no paint. Heres what SPI black epoxy looks like unpainted.|
