My Camaro does have the AC cut off I have a Fiero with same engine that does not have it but it is a 5 speed and also Much lighter
The Camaro once it is up to highway speed it is comfortable to drive not going to win ANY races but good driver.

Yes, GM was using those old A-6 compressors then. Great compressor did a wonderful job but it did suck HP. And not only that GM modified that compressor with dished pistons to lower the compression ratio!. Do you think the might have had a inkling that there might be a problem?

You are correct...carry on.
Manual 4-speed Transmissions
M20 was the generic RPO for a 4-speed transmission.
For lower performance applications (L6, 307, 327, and L65 350), the Saginaw 4-speed was utilized. It used a cast iron case. For higher performance applications (LM1 350, SS350, big blocks, and Z28) the Muncie 4-speed was used. It used an aluminum case and different gear ratios from the Saginaw 4-speed.

Ironically, most of the rear fold down seat cars I've seen are built in LA. Seems the higher optioned cars came from there, rather than Ohio.

My '67 came from LA and is highly optioned with the L48 SS 350, Z87 Deluxe interior and Z23 interior accent group, D55 console, Z22 rs group, speed minder, wood look wheel AND rear fold down seat...

The 350 and 396 cars came with the Muncie from day 1. All other engines had the Sag. This is 1 way to tell if a 4 speed SS car is a clone.

MARTINSR I was thinking of the folding rear seat, but yeah that bench front is rarer. Saginaw or Muncie, hmmmmmm, didn't know they ran them both at the same time, thought it was like '67 had the Saginaw and from then on it was a Muncie?
