MARTINSR Thanks Henry.

I just noticed as I uploaded this photo that I forgot to grind off that weld in the body holding the stud from the back side.

As soon as I get that done, the box assy is all done and he can get the pieces powder coated.

And tomorrow, on to the fenders and body and paint.

Rip VW Worked the shrinker stretcher stand project today. I had to modify the plan slightly but I am very pleased with how it is falling together. I think I have all of the pedal assembly cut, beveled, ground, drilled and Fit. I am holding off on a picture till I get it roughed together. Tomorrow all I think I need to do is weld and assemble.

I have set the pedal height at 12 inches above the floor so I can use my good leg to operate. I think that is a good height as I can get to the pedal while setting in my chair and have a good amount of travel before it hits the floor. I guess I will find out how it works real soon.

My die set for my Bead roller came in today and are they look so shiny and not mauled by human hands. I am going to finish the shrinker stand before I try out my bead roller. Plus I need to add some pins to put the dies on.

Ok, what color shall we make these stands? I am leaning to No paint because if it is not painted it will be a few grams lighter thereby theoretically faster than anyone in the same class.. Sounds like a sensible thing to me..

Busy busy busy.....

tech69 today went smooth. Had one of those Jeep Patriots where they set booby traps everywhere on the door trim panels. Somewhat of a pain coming off, probably worse putting it together. Then there's that 17' Accord with 3k. Those belt moldings with the chrome do NOT like to come off smoothly, especially on a brand new car. Gonna have to order a new one but everyone messes those up here. They're a pain. Then the RX6 Miata. Man, I hope I don't see one of those in a while. One of those days where I worked on all pain in the *** cars today. Tomorrow will be better.

MARTINSR my "five minutes" out in the garage last night was spent on the phone. LOL I went out to get something done on my brothers bike and ended up in a half hour long phone call going over what he wants. I can't weld and walk out of there so I had to end it on that. But at least "something" got done. I can go out there tonight and weld!

tech69 this is some drought :roll eyes:

on my way to work

the 4 runner job is done. Near total so the times are skimmed to 31 hours. Should have been more but you win some and you lose some.

It will definitely be cool in either one.

If I had a 409, I would like to put it in my 58 Impala convertible except I don't have a 58 Impala convertible.

Rip, I have a brand new chain in a box I'll never use. It came in a complete set and all I used was the power head. PM me your address and I'll send it to you.
