Mr. P-Body I've been dealing with CP for a long time now. The "broom sheet" has had certain "odd ball" items we "non-Chevy" people can use, too.

They offer an excellent "spread" of valve springs. Good ones.

And they keep a lot of Pontiac numbers in stock... Gotta be a good bunch!

Gary's right, the weekly emails we send out aren't exactly exclusive, but they do let you know what we discount for that week. And the Broom Sheet is always available on our site.
03-17-2013 08:01 PM Not much to tell, Adapters are fairly common for small and big block chevy's. I stock the sbc adapters and have sold 6 or 7 of the big block adapters.

They bolt on the block where the factory seal 1-piece seal adapter goes and allow use of a two piece rear seal. Use the one piece oil pan.

BigMo Really? Tell me more......I've built quite a few motors but never knew this

Seal adapters are readily available and not expensive..

BigMo If that block had been a two piece rear seal, it would have been headed to my place. Hell it will cost more to do all the machining on the old block than that new block with everything done already. Arrrgggghhhh......but i already got the crank, se la vie.....
03-16-2013 06:40 PM I have bought several stroker crankshafts and dozens of valves and pushrods for BBC's from the broom sheet. Always good stuff.

Speedways "garage sale" has always been a good source for street rod headers. I have bought many sets of dented header sets from them. Most of them have had very minimal, repairable damage. Usually in spots not even visable when mounted. On one set of "T" bucket chrome headers. I never did find the supposed damage.

Use the shipping code and really save $$

painted jester Some Good prices Gary! You ever check out the speedway garage sale? Ive bought a lot off those pages over the years!

1Gary this is just one case as long as you do your research aside from the auctions I have been talking about, where you can and should avoid the bottom of the barrel pricing parts. You should not expect the same results from that bottom of the barrel parts.Since I joined this forum I have never talked about the high dollar stuff, what I in reality been talking about is the middle of the road stuff in pricing that makes for a huge difference in quality and longevity with a good mix on that in what parts to buy.

I won't and shouldn't because of I have seen too much wrong advise the use of either Eagle or Scat crankshafts. The idea they play word games with "cast Steel" is just non-sense.Cast is cast and forged is forged. But as a example Scat does make a haft decent 5.7 rod which isn't a bad bang for your buck.

SBC Chevy builders-Need A break???

I promise everyone from this link/thread I am getting nothing.Well except the satisfaction from reading some of the threads here guys that could really use a break in parts costs.
So forum management please allow me to help out our fellow membership.

Now I don't think the email I got from Competition Products is a exclusive. The Boom sheet normally is available to anyone.Just to give you a taste a Sportsman block already bored and honed with torque plates 030 for $649.00.Not too bad of a deal.

Be sure to page threw all of the broom sheet link and this is only available for one wk and each offering is as long as the parts didn't sell out.
